Itty Bitty Rants

Infrequent posts about stuff.

  • A quick note about the new look and etc…

When blogger updated their interface and added all the new features I made a couple of changes to this blog to see what it all looked like. The previous post is really the first one in the new format. Please note that I do have comments turned on for now, as there is some reason for this blog to be a bit interactive. I believe that I did set it up for registered blogger users only.

  • Spring 2004 Update

I've completely fallen off the wagon as far as keeping this up to date is concerned, so I've started to re-title them somewhat more appropriately. I did however recently do 2 batches of soda, both quite drinkable and one of them is a HUGE success. Absolutely terrific stuff, and so close to perfect that it's really breathtaking. And the other one: well, it was a good experiment. :-) I tried a new champagne yeast and have confirmed that it's just something about the Red Star yeast that just DOES NOT WORK for me.

Big changes at blogger.com this week, and I'm thinking I might take advantage of some of it. It's interesting that they seem to be trying to extend it just a tad in the direction of a social networking app.

  • Introducing Nate’s Rants dot com!

Introducing [Nate's Rants dot com](http://www.natesrants.com) So I got this email the other day (Reprinted without permission): I am so thankful that I'm not afraid of handbags, or that threat might have actually been, well, okay, not scary at all even then. I finally upgraded my phone and moved up to a [Sony Ericsson](http://www.sonyericsson.com) [T610](http://www.sonyericsson.com/us/spg.jsp?template=PS1&B=IE&PID=10055&LM=PSM_V&gal=105) from [T-Mobile](http://www.tmobile.com). I have really liked my service from [Sprint PCS](http://www.sprintpcs.com) but it was time to change phones and bluetooth was a checklist item for me and Sprint has been dawdling too long on just about all technology fronts. Time to move on. So yesterday after the new phone came active, I put away the Sprint PCS Wireless Web Digital Link for the last time.

Saw a link to an interesting toy: [The Virtual Racing Chassis](http://www.bobearlracing.com/Index.htm) Basically a guy built a chair formed kind of like a Formula 1 driving seat for racing games. Pretty cool, and I wouldn't mind having one myself. Not badly priced at $299 either! Now if it had hydraulic force feedback effects too:. Well, then it wouldn't cost $299, would it.
