Apparently as part of the Talk.Google.com rollout, you no longer have to “know” someone who has a Gmail account to get an invite (Yes, there are plenty of sites that aggregate free accounts, I have submitted invites to quite a few of them.) you can do it via SMS of all things. More info at [...]

Google Talk was finally launched today bringing Google into the IM space, as has been rumored for a long, long time. I think I’ll load up the client on my machines, if anyone is interested in giving it a try. No tag for this post.
